TUITION POLICIES '26-27

Our dance curriculum follows a planned progression throughout the entire school year. The best benefit and progress for each student will come from consistent attendance for the entire dance school year; however, our classes will continue to enroll students throughout the fall and winter. Attending some classes during our Summer Session is highly recommended for everyone, particularly for more advanced students, to help maintain their dance technique and skills.
The 2026-27 dance school year will run from Wednesday, September 9, 2026, through Monday, June 7, 2027.
~ Each school-year class will meet 34 times during the school year. Should any class meet less than 34 times due to bad weather, etc., make-up classes are available. We encourage students to make up any missed classes as soon as possible after missing them. Practice Makes Progress!
~ In case of inclement weather, the studio makes its own decisions on whether to hold classes. Classes may be held even if academic school is canceled in the winter, so please check our Facebook/Instagram page and your emails.
Registration Fee: A non-refundable annual registration fee of $35 maximum per family is due at the time of registration.
For the school year, the annual tuition has been divided into nine (9) equal monthly installments. The first monthly installment plus the annual registration fee will be due and payable at the time of enrollment.
Dance tuition rates are consistent each month, regardless of the number of class weeks within a month, and are due by the first day of each month, with a late fee added on the 8th day of the month for any outstanding balances. Tuition is calculated based on how many hours per week a student studies at ASB. When students enroll in more classes per week, the hourly rate is discounted from the base rate, up to a specified maximum number of hours per week. Tuition is paid regardless of absence - see more info below in 'Missed Classes.' Monthly tuition rates will be shown in the Online Registration system when you choose your classes and can be viewed in a PDF below.
Payments & Late Fees: You may make secure monthly installment payments using your credit card through our online registration system, Studio-Pro/ASB. Payments are due on the first of the month, and a $10.00 late fee will be added to any outstanding balances after 7 days. You may also choose to enroll in Auto-Pay when enrolling your student, which will automatically charge your card on file on the first of each month that your student is enrolled. If you prefer a different payment method (i.e., cash or check), please contact the studio by email to set this up.
Semi-annual Payments: A 7% discount will be applied to semi-annual 'semester' payments (2 per school year) if paid by cash or check. The discount will be 5% if semi-annual payments are paid by credit card. If you wish to make semi-annual payments for the school year and receive the discount on ballet tuition fees, please register your student(s) online, pay the first monthly installment and registration fee, then contact us by email to request the setup of discounted semi-annual payments. After you register online and email us, we will bill you for the balance due for the first semi-annual payment. To receive the discount, the semi-annual tuition must be paid in full by September 30th and January 30th. These payments are non-refundable, so be sure that your student plans to remain enrolled all year. The fee for returned checks is $25.00.
Add/Drop Policy: You may add or drop classes by giving notice in writing (emailing is acceptable). To withdraw: you must notify the studio in writing by the 20th of the month, or the next monthly payment will still be due. If you withdraw from a class/classes before the current month is up, the monthly tuition already paid is non-refundable.
> Any refunds processed for medical or other reasons will incur a $10.00 processing fee.
Missed Classes: There are no refunds for missed classes; however, missed classes may be made up within the school year in which they are missed, provided the student is still enrolled. We encourage students to make up any missed class as soon as possible after missing it. In case of a mandated studio closure due to the pandemic, classes will continue on Zoom, and any tuition already paid is non-refundable.
