Practice Makes Progress
The Andover School of Ballet was established more than 40 years ago in downtown Andover, Massachusetts. Under the directorship of Kristina Liversidge, the studio provides high quality dance education for ALL. Classes are offered for all levels, beginner through advanced, and for all ages, from 18 months through adult.
Dance training helps to develop grace, coordination, rhythm, and a strong body, as well as creativity and artistry. Students experience self-confidence and a feeling of accomplishment through dance classes. They also learn to respect others as well as themselves and develop sound work habits. Students begin training in a basic level class based according to age, level of training, and ability. As they progress, students will be promoted to a more advanced class level.
Our professional faculty is highly trained and carefully selected for their abilities, knowledge and experience in teaching dance to children and adults. They are dedicated to making sure that our students fully develop their talents and achieve their goals. We are serious about your child’s progress and we focus on each student's individual needs and abilities as they learn and develop their dance skills. Please click on Studio Guidelines above , then on Faculty to read about our instructors.
We offer many opportunities to our students during the year, including extra Dance Workshops, ASB Dance Company for Intermediate through Advanced levels, and our annual Spring Performance. Master Classes with invited guest teachers may be offered during the year. Summer 1-week Dance Programs for 3.5 - 12 year- olds are available as well as weekly Summer Dance Classes for Intermediate through Advanced levels.
Our 2023-24 classes will run from Sept. 9, 2023 - June 10, 2024.
The best benefit and progress for each student will come from consistent attendance for the entire dance school year, but most of our classes do continue to enroll students throughout the fall and early winter.

Face Masks are OPTIONAL for all classes. We support any student who wishes to continue to mask, and ask students to mask if they have been exposed to or are returning from having COVID-19. We are continuing to hand sanitize before & after classes, and to frequently clean high touch surfaces to continue to keep our dance families safe. We have installed and continue to use Medify medical grade HEPA air filtration units for each studio and the lobby. These units are rated to completely change the air every 30 minutes and the filters will remove particles to .1 micron. Zoom class can be arranged if a student is at risk or on quarantine - email us. Learn more below about the precautions we are taking for this season to keep our dancers safe.
